There was once a longed desperately for love .One day while she was walking in the woods she found two starving song  bird .she took them home and put in a small cage .She nurtured them with love and the birds grew strong .Every morning they greeted her with a marvelous song.The girl felt great love for the birds .She wanted their singing to last forever.

　　从前，有一位孤独的姑娘，她非常渴望爱。一天，她在树林中散步时，发现了两只快要饿死的鸟儿，她将它们带回家，放进了一个小笼子里。她用爱滋养着它们，两只鸟渐渐强健起来。每天早晨，它们都要唱一首动听的歌曲问候她。姑娘很喜欢这两只鸟。她想让它们的歌唱直到永远。
　　
　　One day the girl felt the door to the cage open. The larger and stronger of the birds flew from the cage . The girl watched anxiously as he circled high above her .She was so frightened that he would fly away and she would never see him again that as he flew close , She grasped at him wildly .She caught him in her fist .Her heart gladdened at her success in capturing him .Suddenly she felt the bird go limp .She opened her hand stared in horror at the dead bird. Her desperate clutching love had killed him .

　　有一天，姑娘打开鸟笼的门，没有关，其中那只比较强壮的大鸟儿从笼子里飞了出去。它在姑娘的头顶高高盘旋，姑娘不安地望着。她好害怕它会飞走，再也看不到它。所以它飞近时，她疯狂地去抓它。她紧紧地把它抓在手里。她的心因成功地捕到它而愉悦。突然，她伸开手，惊恐地发现鸟儿已经死去了。她不顾一切牢牢紧握的爱扼杀了它。

　　She noticed the other bird teetering on the edge of the cage . She could feel his great need for freedom , His need to soar into the clear ,blue sky .She lifted him from the cage and tossed him soft into the air . The bird circled once , twice, three times .The girl watched  delitght at the bird Enjoyment . Her heart was no longer concerned with her loss . she wanted the bird to be happy. Suddenly the bird .flew closer and landed softly on her shoulder . It sang the sweetest melody she had ever heard .
  
　　她注意到另一只鸟在笼边不断俳徊。她能感觉到它对自由的极度渴望，它对翱翔于蓝天晴日下的渴望。她从笼子里把它取出来，将它轻轻地抛向空中。鸟儿绕了一圈，一圈，又一圈。姑娘高兴地看着小鸟快乐飞翔。她的心不再关心她的所失。她只想要小鸟快活。突然，小鸟飞近了。轻轻地落在她的肩上，它唱着她有生以来听过的最甜美的音调。
